Cairn Gorm Horseshoe
Amazing trail got from a Cairngorm hiking guide. Slight winter conditions definitely made it more technical with a lot of ice descending from Cairn Lochan. Wide ridges on the top made for enjoyable walking with amazing views when out of the clouds.

Great walk,when you come off the cutt gate bridleway it feels wild in places nobody around,when you start to decend into the valley its quite steep so poles will come in handy

If you do this hike dont do it in winter you have to cross open moorland for a couple of miles and its quite boggy

If you follow this route at around 3.4 miles take the path to your right and pick up the route further on,we took the most direct route to the Tor but ended uo with a sketchy scramble to get on the bridleway
