On my bike and off I go. There is always a road or path worth while riding on. My favourite tours are seeing the sea at one point or snow covered peaks.

Finally at the sea with cooler temperatures, but with a strong headwind from the northeast. Nevertheless, this tour is one of my favorite day tours. On the way to Margate, the waves occasionally crashed over the sheltered shore, but we never got completely soaked, instead getting fine, salty water droplets

On the way back, we first took the pedestrian ferry across the river and then decided that we would rather cycle back to the other side of the river through the pedestrian tunnel. We were able to cycle along the river in sections.

Unfortunately, although the Hadrian's Wall cycle path is a nice old railway line to ride, you rarely see the water. At least the last time it was with a view of the sea.

You really shouldn't check the weather forecast at all. Today it was supposed to rain again and again, but it didn't happen once.

After the Parkrun along the promenade in Maryport, we quickly managed breakfast at the hotel, and then we headed along the sea. We repeatedly had a great view of the sea and

Back to the coast, leaving the wonderful Lake District behind. First we had a couple of uphills to master before it was easy downhill on former railway tracks to Workington and then on to Maryport.

Instead of the Go Ape adventure, I preferred to climb the Whinlatter Pass by bike. It drizzled all morning and was still drizzling when I set off. Halfway up, I was able to take off my rain jacket. It was a beautiful route over side roads. Only on the way back did I realize how steep the climbs were

This morning it is still quite hot. First by train to Maryport and then by bike. At first, it goes more or less along the sea. In Workington and Whitehaven, we stop for an iced coffee. It is still scorching hot. After Whitehaven, it goes uphill mostly gently on a disused railway line, and at Lake Loweswater

Leaving the city always means going up onto the sidewalk, then back down, soon you reach the next curb until you finally get onto the bike path or the quiet country road. Today that was also true, but it went on
