Herrlich!

The last few days have been so sunny, I was actually a bit impatient today that the sun didn't appear until around 1 p.m. 😉. So I took it easy in the morning and took the bus to Zingst, then walked along the beach towards Prerow.
Zingst itself wouldn't be my personal highlight. Sure, the town offers

The west beach is a must on a Darß vacation ;-)
Prerow was my starting point today. I took the bus to Prerow Mitte and from there I made a detour to the new pier. ... it's truly impressive. You only really notice its length of more than 700m when you look from the end towards the mainland/beach.

The Darß... I love it so much, and even though you feel like you already know every corner... I never get bored at all seeing and exploring it again and again.
Today I went by (e-)bike from Wustrow along the Bodden to Born and from there to the lighthouse/Darßer Ort.
Two years ago, the tour through the

The last weekend in August lured us with plenty of sunshine and a light breeze... to Freyburg. From Freyburg, we went up to Rödel, with a few detours to the quarry and then along a... well... not really well-maintained path through the forest back into the valley towards Balgstädt. This path isn't really

Many sections of the Saale Horizontale are etched in my memory, some particularly special – perhaps that's why I keep coming back to Jena and make my tours different and adaptable.
The Windknollen Nature Reserve is a plateau that somehow always reminds me of a dune landscape or coastal areas in Denmark

Today was probably the last hike in the Schnalstal Valley for the time being, and it was quite challenging, both up and down.
The starting point was Kurzras, and the destination was the Schöne Aussicht mountain hut at 2,845 m (unfortunately closed).
The trail begins lined with alpine roses and wooded with

This tour was opened by Lili, a pretty cow who looked curiously at her and then happily let me stroke her head.
The route led from Kurzras up to the Berglalm, a beautiful route through a forest of larch and Swiss stone pine trees. The scent of the Swiss stone pine is a constant and very pleasant companion

Today, my feet were supposed to get a break, but that didn't quite work out, and I wanted to at least do a short loop.
Today's tour was ideal. It was mostly in partial shade, with some sunny stretches, of course.
I started just before Kurzras, and it led directly into the forest over a boardwalk and a

Meissen still seemed very sleepy and foggy when I went for my morning walk. The fog lingered until midday, even in the vineyards. I feel like I've walked this route 20 times now, but never in this (opposite) direction, and today I didn't have much of a plan. I actually walked different paths, or at least
