Sunday's muddy run... that pretty much sums it up. Choosing the route through the woods wasn't ideal. 😅 It was tiring but still fun. The Davert and Hohe Ward areas are very scenic and varied... highly recommended! The path along the canal is rather dull in comparison, but it gets you to your destination quickly.

I started my tour to Steinfurt moated castle today with great motivation. The route was beautiful to drive. Little road, lots of farming, lots of nature and hardly any people. Exactly what I like. A little more sun would have been nice. But even without it, autumn shows off its bright colors...

We wanted cake, we got cake. The drive to Hofcafe Grothues-Potthoff (absolute recommendation!) was quite dreary. The way back was more for the eyes.... through farmsteads, forest and past fields. All in all a beautiful and relaxed Sunday drive...
