On the way on the forest myth trail near Waldbröl-Vierbuchermühler. The Komoot recording started late because of so much to talk about. Bad weather is announced for noon, so we start early. The path is well marked and the well-known information boards of the 'Bergische Streifzüge' provide us with useful information. This varied hike leads us through the forest, over meadows and through small hamlets with neat half-timbered houses. Below the "treetop path" we have an unusual look up and discussion material about the building. We are back at the starting point, the Vierbuchermühle, in good time before the onset of rain.

During our trip to Seelscheid, the thermometer shows 0 ° Celsius in places - it doesn't matter, after several rainy days we look forward to the friendship path. This was only inaugurated in 2020, it connects the places Neunkirchen and Seelscheid. We hike through forests, over meadows, on roads with little traffic and through small districts. The sun slowly shows up behind the morning mist. In Neunkirchen we take a break in the dog-friendly Hofcafe and can then set off for the second half of the hike. Now we have golden October weather and it is now really warm. We enjoy the hike in the most beautiful mountainous landscape on the friendship path and arrive in a good mood at lunchtime at the starting point in Seelscheid. The next hike for the coming week is already being planned, hopefully the weather will play along.

Just in time for the start of our hike, it stops raining. So we can go up to the Hahnenzell in a good mood. The view of Lindlar is still overcast, but a new tour in better weather is already being considered. We cross the county road at Kemmerich and walk down the valley via Waldbruch and the Dörrenberg into the Sülztal. We leave the busy Sülztalstraße to the left and instead walk parallel to it over a large meadow, then through a muddy cave and up into the forest. The view of the Linde church village also accompanies us here. A little further on we can see the viaduct in the Sülztal. We reach the Brückenhof and walk a bit on the Bergisches Panoramasteig. The path soon leads us up to the right and we see the St. Rochus Chapel. Our short autumn hike ends here with beautiful views, interesting conversations and delicious plums from Morkepütz.

Today we go up with Alfons to the Haldy Tower and the Hohe Warte. We start our hike on the village square in Wiehlmünden and walk a bit along the Agger. With pleasant temperatures, the way to the Haldy Tower is still easy for us. The good view invites you to take a break, unfortunately our predecessors left a lot of rubbish here. We continue to the Haus Ley farm, where we enjoy culinary delights from Alfons' kitchen. Before that, a narrow path above the Aggerufers requires good surefootedness. In Bellinghausen we are happy about the beautiful half-timbered houses and the well-stocked bookcase. The ascent to the Hohe Warte is then really sporty, at the top we treat ourselves to another well-deserved break. Now we go down into the valley, coffee and Bergisch waffles are waiting for us at Alfons'. Thank you, Alfons, for this beautiful hike and the good food!

The ten of us hike today on the "L'Ommer jon!" through the Ommertal near Lindlar-Linde. We start at the parking lot on Josefsstrasse and walk left along the street through Frangenberg. It quickly becomes apparent that we have a similar pace, the mood in the group is good and we have a lot to talk about. Above Spich we keep to the left, through a ravine we walk along meadows and come into the forest. We follow the well-marked path, to the left we continue into the forest, down into the Ommertal. The little river accompanies us again and again. During the summer of the merchant, the deeply furrowed path gives us an impression of the power of water during the storm a few weeks ago. In Rölenommer we take a look over the fence of the Ommerhof with its beautiful garden. Finally we cross the miller's summer before it goes steeply uphill to Linde. Finally, a refreshment is tempting on the terrace of Haus Burger. Today everything was just right - we're looking forward to the next hike together!

Storm warning? Not with us: At 10 a.m., 5 SGV members and 3 guests stood on the mat or the parking lot of the Splash-Bad in Kürten. We started in slightly humid but dry weather, initially on the slope of the Kürtener Sülz valley. We reached Delling via Biesenbach. The inn was tempting, but we didn't want to stop so early. A quick look into the church was a must. Everything inside was prepared for a wedding. A bass player practiced for the background music - a bit dark, as we found, but if people like it ...
The Mühlenweg led us further - past the Schultheismühle to the Olper Mühle. What is a mayor? According to Wikipedia and an information board, "an official who demands guilt", ie someone who collects sums of money on behalf of his sovereign. He also worked as a judge.
At the Olper mill, some of the hikers went 200 meters away to a honey sale, while the others admired the sheep and rams.
Soon afterwards, the hiking group came to a place that was an obvious fake. A place-name sign read "Olpe", although no Biggesee could be seen far and wide. After all, the place offered a nice café. We couldn't say "no" here.
But now the path got really mean: a steep incline not only brought us up to beautiful views, but also took us out of breath. It had started to rain a little, but the rain was still not a problem.
From Offermannsberg the path meandered as a forest path over the height before we had to descend steeply to Waldmühle.
The further way to Hommersmühle and Kürten turned out to be comparatively harmless. In Kürten, however, it went up again steeply - and unfortunately the rain had also become heavier. But we didn't let ourselves be discouraged and overcame the last wet kilometers at a fast pace.
Many thanks for the well-chosen and tested route, Nina and Steffi!

Today we want to go to the open-air museum to buy new annual tickets. We start above the cemetery. We cross this and come directly to the
Town center. We walk through Brennergasse onto Kamperstrasse and then continue across the main street. We go through the amusement park and follow the path on the trim trail until a sign leads us to the right to the parking lot of the open-air museum. We cross the street again and after a short climb we have reached our destination. The ticket purchase is done quickly, today we only want to stay briefly on the museum grounds. Past the Bandweberhaus we follow the path towards the north gate. We take a look at the newly built school building from Hermesdorf and look forward to the original things from earlier times at the kiosk from Wermelskirchen. We leave the site via the north gate, take the path down to the right into the Lennefetal and return to the center of Lindlar.

14 brave people are open to surprises: where are you going? How long will we be on the road? From the Lindlar market square the way leads us to the town hall. We cross the street and walk on part of the Steinhauer path towards Vorderrübach. The cleared areas are now partially overgrown with balsam, fortunately other areas have already been reforested. We keep to the left, go up a meadow and then over a narrow path towards Hönighausen. Above Hönighausen we turn left and look forward to the cool breeze in the forest. After a while we are back on the Steinhauerpfad and take a look at the quarry. It is now quite warm and we are glad that only a short part of the route lies ahead of us. Our surprise hike ends around noon on the market square. We say goodbye in a good mood, the next hike together is sure to come!

From the meeting point at the Scheeler Mühle we walk in the direction of Dassiefen. The babbling Scheelbach is to the right of our path. It goes leisurely up the path, the cool July morning means well to us. We look into the Leppetal and approach the beautiful view above Dassiefen. Benches invite you to take a break here. We continue through the (former) forest, a small path leads us down to the Eibach castle ruins. We enjoy the mountain idyll and then return on the Rudi Hoffmann path back to the Scheeler Mühle, again with the Scheelbach.

We start from the hiking car park 'Mul' in Hückeswagen with a lot of delay, as one participant has already lost her orientation on the approach. On the A6 we go into the forest and soon arrive in the tranquil hamlet of Röttgen. We leave the houses and the large paddock behind and follow the path down into the forest. We quickly come to the stream of the Purd. The paths furrowed by the water and the flooded meadows give us only a rudimentary impression of the floods of the past week. The path leads us through the hamlet of Purd up to Oberburghof. Again we come to the forest and walk through the stream landscape lined by meadows and forest back to the starting point. Thanks to Ingrun for this beautiful hike!
