Man…

Von Cochem nach Zell a.d. Mosel

The hike led us over the heights of the western Ebbegebirge from the Fürwiggetalsperre to the Nordhelle and back. The way there over the height and the Hubertusweg, back on the north slope with a view over the valley of the Herveler Bach to the Ruhr area. In the past, these were all beautiful forest

The tours from the farms in Oberstüter into the Felderbachtal are classics for us, which we always enjoy doing in different seasons. To be precise, we started at the Kauerhof hiking parking lot, which is usually not too crowded and from which you can reach the popular excursion destination "Bergerhof

We only read afterwards that Casares is known for its colony of vultures. In any case, about six of them hovered over our heads almost the entire hike. We survived the hike nonetheless. – The route is varied and easy to walk. The last kilometer of the descent on a narrow hiking trail T1/2. The surrounding

Komoot tour: easy hike, easily accessible paths. – well, after 1.8 km it was over, even though it is an official hiking trail. But the steep meadow was not so great with over 65s and "knees" and certainly not an "easily accessible path". So back, continuing along the asphalted forest path and shortening

It was supposed to be a beautiful hike in the hinterland of the Costa del Sol. For this, I had saved a hike from @Bamlacher. We even had brief contact, because I wanted to do the route the other way around. He had described that at the end he had problems finding the track (in 2023). So I thought, I

This hike in the nature reserve initially follows the Baranco of the Rio de Manilva. We leave the Roman Baths of La Hedionda to our right and save them for the way back. After 1.5 km, the path through the Baranco runs through the riverbed; sometimes you can use a short section of a path on the right

Benahavis is the richest municipality in Andalusia. This is also evident in the pretty town (9500 inhabitants). It is a beautiful starting point for a walk to the small Gualdamina reservoir (Presa de Guadalmina) or a little further, along the river into the hinterland. Our path (Komoot tour) led us on

Yes, these Komoot suggestions… Here in Andalusia, especially on the coast, probably not much hiking is done. So there aren't many tour options. We had planned a small Komoot tour: hike to the gorge of the Río del Padrón. Well, at least what was visible on site was not a highlight, and we also didn't

Back at the Jubachtalsperre after a long time. Where have all the beautiful forest paths gone? Sure, super great views... of empty forest areas. The wounds of the bark beetle plague will be visible here for decades to come. Nevertheless, a beautiful route, precisely because of the great views. Got careless

The Frentroper Mark is a beautiful wooded area for short walks, especially in combination with the Wesel-Datteln Canal. Unfortunately, the canal bridge at Haus Gloe is still closed (although nobody is working there), so we had to continue along the canal to the bridge on Buerer Straße. We should have
