Stop for a beer at the old station. You'll need it. The return walk through the forest starts with a warning not to do it in winter or after rain. If today was typical of a hot day in May you might prefer to avoid it in summer too!. Beautiful, spectacular, but hard to find stable footholds on the steep

Remarkably demanding walk for such a short one. A LOT of steps and climbing. A bit too much concrete and curation for my taste, but it's good to be in the jungle nonetheless.

Pleasant short stroll through jungle parkland with waterfalls but perhaps not worth the journey and the entry fee. The map says 2km trail. Komoot says 510m.

Take care on the awkward big pebbles of the second cove. It was OK for us, but probably better to take a different approach if the tide is high or the stones are wet and slippery.

The beach-side restaurant in Giniginamer is nice but small. Get there early for a table or phone to book a place. Be prepared for lots of descent and ascent in the barrancas. The path is generally OK but mildly vertiginous in parts. Enjoy!

Take the low level route for spectacular sea views. The bit where the route doubles back for a few metres is to avoid a big drop next to a cave. Return by the quicker and easier higher path.

More pain than gain. Happy to do plenty of steep climbing but it might be better to do this walk before the leaves cover the trees and obscure all the views. Steep descents tricky after rain when they become slippery.
