On the handcycling routes in this Collection, you can expect flat, car-free cycle paths through lovely parks and forests, as well as along scenic canals and rivers. You’ll discover Berlin’s famous buildings and historic squares, while also enjoying the quieter surroundings in nearby Brandenburg. From your handbike, you'll marvel at world-famous sights, including Berlin Cathedral, Alexanderplatz’s famous Fernsehturm and the Brandenburg Gate, while having the opportunity to cruise along the water and get to know the capital city’s green side.

All the routes are asphalted and easy to ride, starting and ending at barrier-free train stations. There are very few climbs and the paths are mostly car-free. You’ll also find barrier-free toilets (some chargeable), wonderful rest areas and many places to stop for a drink or a bite to eat.

While the routes have not yet been officially certified, they’ve been researched and curated to the best of our ability, using our knowledge of Berlin. However, at the end of the day, you are responsible for your own travel and these routes should serve primarily as inspiration and motivation.
