Today I headed back to the E11. It was a castle-to-castle hike: I started at Neuhardenberg Castle, and at the end I added a loop through Gusow, with a detour to the quarry lake, the castle, the village church, and finally a stretch along the Old Oder River, which was really worth it. I traveled to this E11 stage on the Buckower Kleinbahn (Buckow narrow-gauge railway). After Buckow, I took the Poetensteig trail and hiked over the Jenashöhe and Dachsberg to the Silberberg. To avoid jeopardizing the return journey, I decided not to check out the current situation in the Silberkehle

With better weather than expected, I did this shorter but beautiful hike through the city today, interrupting my hike twice by BVG ferry rides. My favorite section of the day was the path in the former bed of the Fredersdorfer Mühlenfließ stream toward the end of the tour.

On May Day, I continued my journey along the E 11. In the hiking guide by Manfred Reschke and Andreas Sternfeldt, this stage is rated only average, but with the wonderful spring weather, every tour seems like a dream route... The highlight, of course, was the unusual pyramid in Garzau Castle Park.
