Wycieczki piesze

For centuries, the Schulensbroek was one large natural flood area, which was flooded several times a year. The fertile soil was interesting for farmers. In the mid-1970s, the Schulensmeer was dug: on the one hand for the construction of the E314, and on the other hand as a holding basin to collect excess water. After all, various streams from Flemish Brabant and Limburg come together in this 'Demerdelta'. Source and more information at dewijers.be/nl-schulensmeer

The Schulensmeer is located in the west of the Belgian province of Limburg, in the valley of the Demer on the territory of Herk-de-Stad and Lummen. It is named after the church village of Schulen, which lies on the road between Hasselt and Diest.

Wycieczki piesze

Quiet for walking with wide views. In the summer I do recommend putting on a summer hat and rubbing it in well.
