Today, the Lower Rhine was once again on our touring agenda – always a beautiful route, and always peppered with new highlights.



We arrived by car, and our starting point was the large parking lot at the St. Jakob salt garden – which has one major advantage: It's free, and you don't need a parking disc

Spring tour around Brüggen - a perfect day of cycling



Today we wanted to use the second really nice spring day to do one of our favorite tours - around Brüggen.



We had actually had our eye on Bergheim, but ultimately chose Brüggen, inspired by the user @Didada . He had done a similar route a few days ago

The start of the tour in 2025 was a little bumpier than expected - although the weather wasn't perfect for cycling, it did at least stay dry and the cool, sunny temperatures of around 5 degrees gradually climbed towards 14 degrees during the day. Eigentlich wollten wir uns heute auf den Weg nach Belgien machen, aber da wir am Pfingstmontag nicht in die Schluffen kamen, mussten wir etwas umplanen und so sind wir dann mal wieder in Köln gelandet :-)
