From the European cupola you have a great view of the provost Hirzenach and the Middle Rhine Valley. Follow the wooden hiker in the shelter and let your gaze wander over the landscape. On the opposite side of the river you see the place Kestert.

Europakuppel viewpoint

In earlier times, the traffic connection between Hirzenach and Holzfeld was only possible via paths and was therefore very unsatisfactory. In the years 1925 to 1926, a remedy was therefore created and a corresponding path prepared, which was created by hand. From now on it was possible for the first time to drive the route with carts and to better manage the existing vineyards. At the location of the current European dome, however, a ridge of rock blocked the path that had to be broken. On the valley side, a ledge remained, which today forms the basis for the beautiful Europakuppel vantage point. Source: Text information board

The viewpoint is about 140 meters above Hirzenach with a refuge and a man looking into the distance. You have a beautiful view to the left of the mirrored S-curve of the Rhine, Kestert, Hirzenach and the two castles Sterrenberg and Liebenstein and to the right of the Ehrenthaler Werth, Ehrenthal, Wellmich and Maus Castle.
