I recommend this high alpine crossing coming from the Zeblasjoch in the direction of the Heidelberger Hütte. You will push and carry your bike - and be amazed by what awaits you behind the pass.

From the Zeblasjoch you can still drive about 1.5 kilometers on the S2 trail, which crosses a large scree field. Then a pushing/carrying passage of a maximum of 250 meters begins for bikers without electrical support. From the Fuorcla da Val Gronda a gigantic single trail awaits you to the Heidelberger Hütte or to the connection to the path to the Fimberpass.

The last third of the Val Gronda Trail is often affected by erosion - rain, cows and bikers make for deep gullies that require a good choice of line.

Really terrific trail, the strenuous pushing section to the Piz Val Gronda pays off! From the junction to the Piz, you leave the hustle and bustle of the Ischgl amusement park behind.

Absolutely worthwhile transition from Samnaun to the Heidelberger Hütte via Zeblasjoch. The trail from Zeblasjoch to Fuorcla is blocked and demanding in places, the ascent to Fuorcla is strict (bio-bike: pushing route). From the Fuorcla very nice single trail down to the Heidelberger Hütte (mostly S1, below partly S2).
