    The Heidelberger Hut is located at 2,260 m in the upper Fimba Valley in the canton of Graubünden.
    Cows and donkeys graze all around. So you should be careful where you put your backpack when you are on the terrace. 😅

    The hut is comparatively comfortable and offers very good food! 👍😋

    The hut owner and the team are extremely friendly and helpful.

      The Heidelberger Hut is located in the middle of the beautiful mountain scenery, already on Swiss soil, at 2,265 meters. Numerous challenging but also family-friendly hiking trails lead to the hut. The hut owner is happy to take guided mountain tours. Extra tip: The Heidelberger Hut is one of five stations on the Culinary Way of St. James in Paznaun. Open from around mid-May to mid-September. You can find more information at heidelbergerhuette.at.

                  From Kappl, an initially steep path leads up to the Bodenalpe. Then the path becomes flatter and climbs with 300 m and a length of 8 km up to the Heidelberger Hütte (Switzerland)
                  The border crossing is marked with a classic sign. (There is no turnpike)
                  Up here at the Heidelberger Hut there are cows, horses and marmots.
                  There is also a stop here for mountain bikers who ride the transal
