The old Chiusaforte station, located along the Alpe Adria cycle path, has been redeveloped into a beautiful bar/restaurant with outdoor tables and chairs. You will find public toilets and a bicycle repair station.

Chiusaforte (furlanisch Scluse, slow. Kluže, German Klausen) is a municipality in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region in Friuli, Italy with 628 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2017). It lies in the Canal del Ferro, (Engl. "Eisental") and extends north to over the Neveasattel.

Right in the old train station, super nice. Very friendly staff and informative point (maps, books, etc.)
Totally relaxing break with cappuccino and shandy.
Been here many times: 2016, 2017 and 2020, always gladly.

Beautiful very easy tour of the channel valley. Also for less experienced drivers as it always goes down slightly. Very nice panorama and nice restaurants along the route, such as the train station in Chiuasforte
From Carnina or Gemona there is the possibility to go back to the train by train! Absolutely TOP !!
