                Katajanokka (Swedish: Skatudden) is a sub-area (Finnish: osa-alue) and a district (kaupunginosa) of the Finnish capital Helsinki with almost 4100 inhabitants. Katajanokka is located on a peninsula in the east of downtown Helsinki. Since the 19th century, the peninsula has been separated from the mainland by a canal and can be reached via four bridges. A Soviet air raid on Helsinki during the Continuation War on February 6, 1944 caused considerable damage to Katajanokka.[1]
