Halensee (formerly: Hohler See) is a lake in the small Grunewald chain in the Grunewald district of the Berlin district of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf near the western end of Kurfürstendamm. It has an area of approximately 57,000 m² and is up to ten meters deep. The lake has no natural inflow and feeds partly from groundwater; Street wastewater is fed into the lake via three discharge points.

Halensee (formerly: Hohler See) is a lake in the small chain of Grunewald lakes in the Grunewald district of Berlin's Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf district near the western end of Kurfürstendamm. It has an area of around 57,000 m² and is up to ten meters deep. The lake has no natural inflow and is partly fed by groundwater; Street sewage is fed into the lake via three discharge points.

The Halensee, one of the cleanest lakes in Berlin when the weather is dry, has in the past shown one of the highest bacterial loads of all Berlin's lakes after rainfall. This resulted from the inflow of rainwater from the surrounding streets, especially from the feeder to the Berlin city ring adjacent to Friedenthalpark, which had flowed unexplained through the defective sewage treatment plant on Trabener Straße since the 1980s.

The district office of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf lifted the bathing ban on May 1, 2016 after twelve years because the water quality has improved thanks to the water company's filter system. The lido is operated as the Ku'damm Beach bar by the host of the neighboring Cappuccino Grand Café restaurant.
