            The Belvedere (Italian bel vedere "beautiful view") was originally a tea house and observation tower in the north-eastern part of the park of Charlottenburg Palace, near the Spree in Berlin.
            The three-storey building, built in the transition from the Baroque to the Classicist style, was built for King Friedrich Wilhelm II in 1788/89 according to plans by Carl Gotthard Langhans.
