          This "Eifelblick" is located at an altitude of 565 m above sea level. N.N.
          At its feet lies the town of Kelberg, with the "Kel" testifying to Celtic ancestors. It means a hill in the Celtic language. This refers to the basalt Hockelberg, which at 674.9 m is a landmark of the region and one of the ten highest mountains in the Vulkaneifel. The mountain visible today was originally 200 m below the surface of the earth. When the area was raised, the outer areas were removed, the hard basalt core remained as an elevation. At the southern foot is the NSG Mosbrucher Weiher. To the left of the Hochkelberg you can see the Schwarzenberg. Here you will find the Schwarzenberg pilgrimage chapel with a picture of the Sorrowful Mother of God (Pietà). The path from the foot of the mountain to the chapel is lined by 14 Stations of the Cross and is a station on the "History Road"
          At this vantage point - one of the numerous "Eifel views" - a relaxation lounger and a swing invite you to take a break.
