              At the foot of the Hochkelberg at the rest area »Im Wieschen« in Sassen at a height of 557 meters there is a new 16-meter-high wooden observation tower called "Eifel-Guck". From here you have a panoramic view of the volcanic Eifel and the upper Elztal. In addition to a parking lot, the rest area has a shelter and seating.
              The rest area is a good starting point for a hike on the Hochkelberg Panorama Trail.
              There is a very nice observation tower at the nearby Heilbachsee.
              The adventure tree house »Holzberg« can be reached from here via a hiking trail. The eight-meter-high house offers plenty of space for climbing and playing.
