The St. Pauli Landungsbrücken are a large landing stage on floating pontoons for passenger ships on the northern edge of the Port of Hamburg. The Landungsbrücken were first built at the beginning of the 20th century and had to be partially rebuilt in the 1950s after they were destroyed in the war.

The nice thing about the port of Hamburg is that you can watch the hustle and bustle from many corners very well. It's not as busy as it was in the days of general cargo, but there's always something going on. You can get around easily with the harbor ferries, but also if you explore the (former) free port side with an e-bike (the distances are long!).
