A beautiful and scenic route leads from Roccoli Lorla (paid parking with automatic kiosk or Easy Park, €5 per day) to the summit of Monte Legnone via trail 1B, difficulty EE. The trail has recently been equipped with sturdy metal chains, and the previous blue ropes have been removed. All exposed sections have chains or guardrails, making this trail, in the summer months and on dry ground, accessible to all hikers with some experience on technical trails. In the more difficult sections, in addition to the chains, there are crampons to aid progression. Sturdy footwear is required, and, as recommended by local signage, crampons before, during, and after the winter season.
