Enjoy hearty Franconian specialties while breathing in Bayreuth's history? You can do that at "Oskar". The inn on Maximilianstrasse in the heart of the city center is a piece of city history: The building is one of the oldest on the market square - its roots can be traced back at least 600 years. Since 1999, the Wenk and Bauernfeind families of restaurateurs have been giving the building, which was once the town hall and police station, a rustic character. There is a cozy beer garden, a light-flooded winter garden, a lively bar and cozy parlors.
