Today's restaurant "Zum Burgnarr" at Burg Castle in Solingen looks back on a long tradition: It is located in the historic rooms of the former Café Voigt, considered the oldest inn within the castle complex, which served visitors and hikers from early times. After the restoration of Burg Castle in the late 19th century, a restaurant catering to day-trippers established itself there for decades. In the 2020s, the van Hove family took over the establishment, completely renovated it, and reopened it under the new name "Zum Burgnarr"—a reference to the castle's medieval court jester. Today, the restaurant combines a historic atmosphere with modern cuisine and is an integral part of the cultural and tourist life surrounding the historically significant Burg Castle complex on the Wupper River.

A very nice restaurant in a historic slate building. The dining room offers a beautiful view of the surrounding landscape.
