Dam and bridge near the village of Orekhovo.
The Kolp River flow is regulated by a system of dams built in the 19th century to ensure the operation of water mills. At present, the mills have not survived, but the river is still a cascade of channel ponds, of which there are 8 within the reserve. Many dams are already functioning poorly and require major repairs, the water in the ponds is beginning to stagnate. Despite this, the Selivanovskaya Kolp is still considered one of the cleanest rivers in the region.
