The current building of the cemetery administration was built from the bricks of the broken cemetery wall. The forged revolving doors of the Nikolaikirche cemetery were also installed here. The old cemetery was opened in 1807

At the beginning of the 19th century, it was decided to establish a cemetery outside Plön's gates. The current cemetery administration building was constructed from the bricks of the demolished cemetery wall. The wrought iron revolving doors from the St. Nicholas Church cemetery were also reused.
In 1807, the Old Cemetery was consecrated in the presence of Prince Christian of Denmark.
