At 28 km², the Great Plön Lake is the largest body of water in the Holstein Lake District and one of the ten largest lakes in Germany. Fed by the Schwentine River, it offers endless recreational opportunities for vacationers in Holstein Switzerland. The unique landscape of the Holstein Switzerland Nature Park, which completely surrounds the Great Plön Lake, invites you to take leisurely strolls or exciting bike rides along the lakeshore.
