The elongated Feldsteinbau stands on a with a brick and field stone walled churchyard. In the wall is a plaque commemorating the 1818 war of liberation. Niedergörsdorf has been a mother church since the Middle Ages.
From the romantic core of the church, the western part of the ship was preserved. After the Thirty Years' War there was an expansion and an early Baroque re-design. With the west tower, which was built in the middle of the 19th century, the town received a landmark that can be seen from afar.
