A real highlight in the region: the snoring cliffs, which even Goethe occupied with in Faust I and Faust II ("[...] and the cliffs that bend down, and the long rocky outcrops, how they snore, how they blow!"). Located between the Barenberg and the Mouse Cliffs, you can reach the Snore Cliffs relatively quickly after starting in Misery. While the climb can seem a little daunting, it's really worth the climb. From the top of the cliffs - you are about 700 meters above sea level - the view towards Elend, Schierke, Wurmberg and Bodetal is truly breathtaking. Since the ascent is via stairs and metal steps, surefootedness and a head for heights are absolutely necessary.

Always a bit crowded, because easy to reach from Schierke. The cliffs themselves can be climbed. Be it as a mountaineer or as a "normal person" on stairs.
