A narrow, stony path leads over the ridge of the Hohnekamm. On both sides of the path you will discover impressive rock formations and can look far over the Harz mountains and to the Brocken. This path is an experience in every season.

I've never crawled so much over or under fallen trees. It felt like 30. You had to be extremely careful where you stepped. Not that you land in a hole in the ground with your foot.

I have been to the Harz several times over the last few years and have seen some really beautiful areas, but in my opinion the Hohnekamm is one of the most beautiful places ever. It doesn't always have to be the Brocken. If you want wild paths, adventure and few people, but don't want to miss out on a breathtaking view, you should definitely go to the Hohnekamm. I have always been fascinated by the rugged cliffs, but I only actually managed to visit it in February of this year. Simply great and definitely worth a trip (or several).
