The Elbschiffahrtsmuseum also shows Lauenburg as it once was. It was the city of Elbschiffer. The lower city was not always the home of gastronomy and artisans. Some pictures on the Elbstrasse remind of the old times. The museum also includes the paddle steamer Kaiser-Wilhelm. It is definitely worth a visit to this museum.

A very nice museum, not too big, so that you can get in a short time an exciting overview of the shipping traffic of the last centuries. The machines (steam engines and old diesel) are well explained. Before a ride on the paddle steamer very valuable!
