The bridge connects the towns of Neudeck and Kleinrössen and is 70.45 meters long. It was built between 1904 and 1905. During the Second World War it was supposed to be blown up, but luckily this was prevented by the brave action of one resident. The formerly dilapidated bridge has now been well renovated and is a real eye-catcher for bridge fans.

The bridge is an early example of “public-private partnership”: the state of Halle/Merseburg and Major Lettre, the owner of Neudeck Castle, contributed to the financing. The bridge is one of the last remaining structures for early concrete bridge construction in Germany.
