Paro is a historic city in western Bhutan, located in the Paro Valley and home to Bhutan's only international airport. It is a popular tourist destination, renowned for its rich cultural heritage, numerous temples and monasteries, and stunning natural beauty, including the iconic Taktsang Monastery (Tiger's Nest). Paro also served as the country's summer capital and was its most important cultural and economic center until the capital was moved to Thimphu.
