'Kyichu Lhakhang' is located in the valley of the 'Paro Chhu' and is considered the oldest surviving Buddhist temple in Bhutan. It was probably founded in the 7th century. In the 19th and 20th centuries, the temple was restored and new pavilions were added. The citrus trees in the temple's courtyard are said to bear fruit all year round.
