    Unfortunately you can't go all the way up on the fire tower, but you can go up to the first "floor"!

      Forest fires used to be watched from here. Since the tower is on one of the highest points of the Veuwe, you had a good overview from there. The lowest platform is accessible.

                Since 1949, a fire tower has stood on the Rozendaalse veld as a prominent point, which was used by the fire brigade (the 'Veluwse Bosbrandweer Comité') until around 1978 to discover forest and heath fires. In 1989, it was restored on the initiative of a foundation set up especially for this purpose.
