The origin of the name Mausberg is the same as the village ten minutes away. We find the Mausberg documentary already in 1391, which is donated by the Hochstift Regensburg Amberger citizen Georg Kastner with all the rights from the vineyards to Amberg, Mausberg bei Gebenbach and Burgfeld on Lebtag.
