Another boys' outing. This time, the autumnal atmosphere along the Naab River was the order of the day.
We started at the Höllohe Wildlife Park. Unlike my last visit earlier this week, animal photography wasn't on the agenda. So we quickly crossed the wildlife park and set off on our actual hike.

I took advantage of yesterday's sunny autumn afternoon, during the golden and blue hours, to visit the Höllohe Wildlife Park. However, I wasn't alone in this idea. The park was quite busy. The autumn school holidays and the beautiful weather certainly played a part.

Wunderbare Herbstwanderung unserer Komoot-Wanderfreundegruppe im Hirschbachtal. Start am (kostenpflichtigen) Parkplatz in Hirschbach am Friedhof. Erstes Ziel war die Felsformation Prellstein, über einen Abstecher zur sehenswerten Cäciliengrotte ging hoch zu einem Aussichtspunkt oberhalb des Höhenglücksteigs. Am Aussichtspunkt "Himmel" hatten wir traumhafte Fernblicke, weiter ging es über die Kinderkletterfelsformation Via Ferrata Bambini zum Atzelstein, den wir umrundeten. Ein weiterer Abstecher führte uns zur Felsformation Castell, weiter ging am "Brettl", also am Norissteig entlang zum Noristörl. Auf dem Weg nach Hirschbach suchten wir noch die Mittelbergwand mit seinem Gipfelkreuz auf. Abschluss bei leckerem Essen im Gasthof "Goldener Hirsch". Schön war's!

My mother's birthday was already in the summer. However, she hasn't had the chance to redeem her birthday present yet. It wasn't the originally planned gift, but rather a spontaneous visit to the Happurg Reservoir in the fall.

Tour auf dem Moorlehrpfad durch das Kulzer Moos und dann hinauf zum alten Steinbruch. Bei der Anfahrt noch beim Kulzer Stonehenge vorbei geschaut.

A while ago, Julius asked me if I knew the Kulzer Moos because he'd like to go there sometime. Thus, the idea for the boys' tour was born. We wanted to do the tour on a sunny autumn morning; when the leaves were already changing color. The basis was my tour from three years ago.

After never being able to make it out at sunrise or sunset in the last few days, this evening I had the opportunity to fully enjoy the nature in the Vilsecker Mulde valley during the golden and blue hours. It was a wonderful two hours amidst our wonderful nature, almost right on our doorstep.

Unsere Tour begann mit einem Besuch des Wolfsparks Werner Freund. Der Wolfspark ist auch gleichzeitig der Ausgangspunkt der Wolfsweg Runde. Nachdem der Regen unterwegs immer stärker wurde, sind wir nicht bis zum Garten der Sinne gewandert, sondern haben die Tour etwas abgekürzt.

Als erstes haben wir den pittoresken historischen Stadtkern von Saarburg mit seinen Wasserfällen und der St. Laurentiuskirche besucht. Danach ging es hinauf in die Weinberge und zur Burg. Zum Abschluss stand noch der Besuch der historischen Glockengießerei Mabilion auf dem Programm.

Today we took advantage of the break in the rain, which lasted for several hours during the day, to visit Saarburg and its sights.
The picturesque old town with its waterfalls and St. Laurentius Church is beautiful to see even in cloudy weather.
