The baroque church was built in the years 1732-1735. It is centrally located on the Old Town market, and freely accessible. It was repeatedly misappropriated until it passed to the Hussite community in 1920.

St. Nicholas Church - (Kostel sv. Mikuláše)

The most famous baroque church in Prague is one of the most valuable Baroque buildings north of the Alps. The dome, which has a remarkable 20 m on average, and its interior height of more than 49 m make up the highest Prague interior, which at the same time is an excellent example of high-baroque decoration. The church has concert cycles throughout the year, using the historic 18th-century organ.

The baroque Church of St. Nicholas (Czech: kostel svatého Mikuláše) is one of the architectural dominants of the Old Town Square in Prague. It was built between 1732 and 1735 according to plans by Kilian Ignaz Dientzenhofer, the greatest master builder of the Bohemian Baroque. Today the church serves the Czechoslovak Hussite Church, which was founded here in 1920.
