On top of the Dassenaarde hill in the Dassenaarde nature reserve in Molenstede-Diest lies a trench from the First World War.

Certainly make a short climb to the top of the Dassenaarde hill and go exploring.
You have a beautiful panoramic view there. The Bolhuis, the Bolhuis chapel and an adventurous playground for children nearby.
In good weather you might even see parachutists or gliders.

On the edge of Dassenaardeheuvel, the Landelijke Gilde Molenstede installed a bench with a view of the valley of the Zwart-Water in October 2018.
