The Plaza Murillo is the main square in La Paz, the seat of government in Bolivia. It is named after the independence fighter Pedro Domingo Murillo. Plaza Murillo is home to the La Paz Cathedral, the Congress and the former government palace with the directly adjacent new government building, the Casa Grande del Pueblo.
