Mostly well developed and not too crowded/driving even on sunny days.
Nevertheless - if you want to go faster you should take the road...

Between Passau and Linz you should cycle on the right side of the Danube. In my opinion, the path there is beautifully embedded in nature and you can wonderfully enjoy the beautiful landscape from Schlögen. Shortly before Linz you should use the ferry in Wilhering in the direction of Ottensheim on the left side of the Danube. In Grein I continued on the left side - but there you can probably take the ferry back to the right side of the Danube with a clear conscience, as you have to drive next to a busy road on the left side of the Danube for a few kilometers.
