Artist Pierre Petrus has made a true-to-life scale model of Huis Piers in the Vrasenestraat. The model is made of Ytong stone and shows the building as it looked in the 17th century. The model, one metre high and one metre wide, was made at the request of Jean Wagemans, the current owner of Huis Piers.

The seventeenth-century building was the birthplace of Anna Francisca Piers (1664-1751), a wealthy mayor's daughter, founder of the congregation Onze-Lieve-Vrouw-Presentatie, which still exists today, and founder of the 'Geestelijk Hof ter Welle', an orphanage for poor children. This building, which later also served as a justice of the peace, was renovated several times over the years.

The model shows the building as it adorned the Beveren streetscape in the 17th century. All the typical features of the building at that time are present: the baroque façade in traditional brick and sandstone architecture, the typical hipped roof with two chimneys and the rectangular windows with bluestone thresholds. The scale model of Anna Piers' birthplace can be seen in the building in which she herself housed her 'Geestelijk Hof', the orphanage for poor children.
