    One of the numerous stops along the Auerhahnweg is “The Sleeping Place”. Here you can find out from an information board and wonderfully graphically how and where the capercaillie spends its nights: in the branches of the trees.

    With the cozy wooden lounger, the place is the ideal place for you to take a break or even a little nap. The name of the station practically calls for it. ;)

          From the wave lounger has a beautiful view of the wide landscape ... through the window frame exactly the same. An information board about the capercaillie and a carved wood grouse complete the ensemble. Nicely laid out to take a break, but be careful, choose the right path afterwards. Many have probably already missed it, so there is still a handwritten signpost.
