    Apart from a wooden coat of arms on a tree, there is unfortunately not much left to indicate the ruins of Berneck Castle. The ascent is still worth it, because from up here you have a great view of the Berneck Valley.

                                          What a place for a castle! Everything steep up and down. Above the very narrow Bernecktal. It must have been a lot of work to build it there back then - 800 years ago. Unfortunately, almost nothing to see today.
