Based on the location and the pictures of this highlight, it is not the part from 1566 as described in the title of the highlight, but the new town hall. The Old Town Hall in Görlitz was first mentioned in documents in 1378. From 1350 to 1818 it formed the centre of the Old Town Hall complex, consisting of the courts, mint and dance hall, and was continuously used as the town hall. The so-called court wing is one of the oldest parts of the town hall, which extends over two floors over part of Brüderstraße and served as the court office.
