The Landwehrkanal (LWK) is a federal waterway in Berlin and legally belongs to the Spree-Oder-waterway (SOW). It connects as a side channel of the Berlin Spree section of the Spree-Oder-Wasserstraße the Spree at the Osthafen (SOW-km 21,14) The Spree at Spreekreuz in Charlottenburg (SOW-km 9.08) and leads with a length of 10.73 kilometers through the districts Kreuzberg, Neukölln, Tiergarten and Charlottenburg. The LWK is designated as waterway class I. Responsible for the administration is the Water and Shipping Authority Berlin.
