The Lido is a public, fee-based outdoor pool with a sunbathing lawn and a sandy beach, almost reminiscent of Italy. Within the complex, which also offers a magnificent view of the Central Swiss mountains and Lake Lucerne, there's the "Lido Beach" restaurant, featuring a lavish menu with all sorts of delicacies. Self-service is standard! A pager at the table will alert you when your food is ready to be picked up. If the weather isn't so good, you can quickly move from the outdoor area to the almost circular indoor area. The restrooms are well-maintained and gender-segregated. We tried the Caesar salad with "Swiss" chicken skewers at the Lido Beach and were more than satisfied.
Price, as of summer 2025, CHF 24 per person. The Lido Beach can be booked for private events such as weddings and the like. Directly opposite the lido are the parking spaces (not exactly cheap), which can also be paid for via parking apps. Be careful! Tickets are issued frequently! And then, across the street from the lido, is the Swiss-famous Transport Museum. A must-see for families!
