Hell Tower, Radolfzell
The northeastern cornerstone of the former city fortifications was the Höllturm. The massive round tower runs inwards in a square. A platform reinforced with battlements forms the conclusion. It is covered with a low tent roof that could be thrown off if it caught fire.
The door visible halfway up the city side is the original entrance to the upper floors and was previously accessible via an attached wooden staircase.
Over the last century and a half, two traditional Radolfzell businesses have stood on the site of "Hölle": the HÖLLE brewery, founded by Martin Müller in 1836, and the Bodensee fruit-growing cooperative from 1922 to 1981. Today the Höllturm Passage with shops and restaurants is located here.

The Höllturm got its name from the Hölle brewery, which was there from 1812. Today the entrance to the Hölle shopping arcade, including a public toilet.

The Höllturm is located in the heart of Radolfzell's old town, next to the Stadtgarten (city garden), and is therefore easily accessible on foot or by bike.
