The mirror fountain, created by Heiligenstadt's graduate sculptor Werner Löwe, can be found at Heiligenstadt's Wilhelm in the pedestrian zone, in front of the building of the former district court. The details of the bronze group of figures, which represent human characteristics, are mentioned here; such as the old man with the fat belly, whose trousers no longer fit because of sheer gluttony and who is holding a beer mug in his right hand, or the lady who looks into a mirror with her head held high. "She is supposed to represent vanity".

With this work, the artist allegorically represents human virtues and vices such as gluttony, vanity, vanity, chastity, truth, wisdom, stupidity. The Dresden native, who now lives in Heiligenstadt, has left his mark not only in his adopted home, but everywhere in Thuringia.
