La Boverie is a fine arts museum and exhibition center of international quality in Liège. The museum is located in the former Palais des Beaux-Arts de Liège, which was built for the 1905 World Exhibition. The museum is located in the Boverie Park on the banks of the Meuse. The museum has a permanent collection of artwork from the Renaissance to the present day, including works by Lambert Lombard, Gérard de Lairesse, Ingres, Gauguin, Chagall, Picasso, Evenepoel, Delvaux and Magritte, among others. The museum also organizes temporary exhibitions, sometimes in collaboration with the Louvre2. The museum also has a space for young artists, a library, a museum shop and a restaurant.

La Boverie, a superb newly renovated building which houses the modern art museum of Liège. This prestigious building, built for the Universal Exhibition of 1905, is located in the heart of a very beautiful wooded park. The place is surrounded by the waters of the Meuse and is notably accessible via the very beautiful "La Belle Liégeoise" footbridge. Anecdote for 2-wheel enthusiasts, at the back of the Museum is a rose garden in place of an old Velodrome! The most attentive will notice the curved contour of the place which attests to the presence of the old track.
